Attachment Control provides organisations with the ability to restrict what attachment types can enter or leave the organisation’s network. The MXtreme provides comprehensive attachment control by restricting attachments using three methods: file extension, message encoding and file signature. This increases the attachment detection and ensures that even an altered attachment file can still be caught. Administrators can choose from default attachment types or create new attachment types to be restricted.
The MXtreme allows a wide variety of action items and provides for notification messages when an attachment has been restricting. When combined with Policy Control, attachment control can be configured for each department within an organisation to give complete granular attachment control.

Detect Regulated Content in Attachments

MXtreme provides additional content control for sensitive environments. This enables organizations to comply with SOX, GLB, SEC, HIPPA and PIPEDA regulations.
The MXtreme Privacy and Compliance Engine controls and monitors all outgoing email scrutinizing the text contained within an email message to ensure that no private information is present. In addition to email body text, attached files must also be inspected.
